Release Blitz & Review ~ Yesterday's Half Truths by Carey Heywood

Title: Yesterday's Half Truths Author: Carey Heywood

Synopsis

She never thought it would go this far.

It started out so innocently, but now has taken on a life of its own. Problem is, Lindsay Palmer doesn't know how to stop. Even worse, she doesn't want to stop. Her daily deceit has become both her greatest pleasure and deepest shame. Thousands of people love her, but would they if they knew the truth.

A simple favor for his baby sister brings Lindsay into Luke Jamieson's life. There's something about this girl that keeps her on his mind hours and days after each time they meet. Now here he is, falling in love with a liar. All he wants is for her to let him in, and maybe together he can lead her out of the cage of her own construction.

Will the truth set her free, or have her lies already destroyed everything.

My Review: Lindsay is a blogger loved by thousands of fans, but she doesn’t love herself. I wanted to reach in to the pages and give her the biggest hug. That is of course if she would let me. She not only has agoraphobia (fear of leaving the house), but she is like most women, she has body issues. An upcoming reunion forces her to seek out a trainer. Luke is a man always willing to go the extra mile to help a client. Doing a favor for his sister by helping her friend will be his newest client and his biggest challenge. I just adored these two together. You could see their love grow through their texts and online sessions. I loved his passion and the way that Luke would never give up on Lindsay. I am not a fan of spoilers, but I will tell you that if you are looking for a love story that grows with every scene, a love that doesn’t care what size you are, a love that can accept your idiosyncrasies, and a love that won’t quit despite the challenges they each face then this book is for you. It is the perfect, quick read that will make you * sigh * out loud one, two, three…..times. Four Stars ★★★★

Synopsis: Falling in love? Courtney Grayson has been there, done that. Men, who needs them? Love wasn’t everything she thought it would be. This time around she’s doing things differently. She hasn’t sworn off men for good, just isn’t interested in settling. Trusting someone with her heart again? Someday, but not today. Falling in love? Sorry, Clay Bradshaw is not the guy for you. He’s never been in love and he doesn’t see it happening. Hooking up can be fun, but more often than not, women are a distraction he doesn’t need. He’s a busy man, and doesn’t have time to date, let alone fall in love. Will someone ever change that? There’s always a chance, someday. Life doesn’t always go as planned, and love may find them both on the other side of someday.

My Review: Courtney is having the worst day ever. In the matter of what seems like minutes everything comes crashing down around her. She lost her job, her fiancé and she now has a flat tire...in the rain. Courtney was able to change her flat and get to a nearby garage, dripping wet and credit declined she was defeated until the older man at the garage gave her the tire. Courtney brushed herself off, figured some things out and went back to pay back the man at the garage, he was the one glimmer of hope she had in her epic day from hell. Who knew a flat tire could lead to such beautiful things? The old man at the garage was not there, but a gorgeous hunk of....Clay was. Clay is fabulous, you will want to jump through the pages and devour him! I adore Courtney and Clay together! I love how these two are not billionaires, they are not perfect, they have real life problems. Carey has a great flow to her stories and has a way of weaving the perfect blend of sweet and sassy. Courtney and Clay are so sweet they would give you a tooth ache, but between the sheets...ooh la la they can light a fire they are so hot and Christ they made me want to find a really big window!!! I love the surrounding stories, especially sweet little Maggie. There is a good group of secondary characters that I cannot wait to continue my "Carolina Days" with. I will not call this a beach read, I am going to call it a rainy day read because it will make you warm and fuzzy inside. You will want to curl up under a blanket, dive in and not stop until you are done. Four Stars ★★★★
