"OUTWAIT (verb): 1. To overcome a situation by holding oneself back from an action" Trying to tell a reader to wait for the next book in a series is like telling them their kindle is broken. Tragic! Stalemate dropped a bit of a cliffhanger on me, but not in the way that made me want to throw things; it was in a fun way. I wanted an answer, but I also wanted more of the King's. I got Carter's story, but who wouldn't want to know more about Carson? The brooding future CEO of the family, he was always holding back. Holding back from love and holding back on telling his family what he really wanted from his future. When Sylvie crashes into his life, everything in his world flips upside down, suddenly the waiting process seems to be in every aspect of his life. How far can he "outwait" his life? "she was the match that could ignite the fire that has long been burned out." Carson held true to the King tradition...when you know, you know. You know? What I do know is I am now obsessed with Lisa Suzanne and her books. The flow, the humor, the steam, the banter and the characters blend together in a fabulous read, every time. I cannot wait to gobble up everything this author can dish out. Well done.
